Welcome to the FIFTH BSCBAA AKC Boykin Spaniel National Specialty! Plans have begun. Mark your calendars for a full week of competition. The 2027 BSCBAA National Specialty Show is happening June 3, 2027, in conjunction with the Gateway Sporting Dog Association at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, Missouri, followed by four all breed dog shows. This multi-day celebration of Boykin Spaniels and sporting breeds promises top-tier facilities, exciting competition, and plenty of camaraderie. Our hope is to get the BSCBAA licensed to hold scent work trials for the nationals. Tentative plan is to hold an all-breed scent work trial May 29 & 30, 2027.

We also are planning AKC Upland Hunt Tests on May 31 & June 1, 2027 in Tebbetts, MO (about an hour and a half from Purina). Purina states that the all-breed dog shows will offer rally and obedience trials, Fast Cat event on the weekend and NADD dock diving. If we have enough volunteers, the BSCBAA may also hold a one day of fetch trials. There promises to be something for everyone! We love our club's slogan: “Dedicated to all the things you do with your Boykin Spaniel!”. We will need volunteers for all of this to take place. Contact us if you can help out in any capacity.
