BSCBAA - awards program

The Awards Committee is established as a Working Committee and is subject to the final authority of the Boykin Spaniel Club and Breeders Association of America (BSCBAA) Board of Directors (“Board”).  The Awards Committee is responsible and accountable for AKC Title data, establish worthy awards, establish rules & requirements of each award, organize, assimilation of Boykin Spaniel Achievements, and prestigious Boykin Spaniel accomplishments in companion, performance, and conformation events on a yearly basis.  

For 2026: NEW CHANGES AND ADDITIONAL AWARDS (please read below)

• The recipients must be members in good standing of the BSCBAA for all BSCBAA memberships not including Honorary & Associate by June during the year you achieve the titles and a BSCBAA member in good standing during the year you receive the award. 
• The recipients must achieve three (3) AKC Titles within one year from January-December to be awarded a BSCBAA Multi-Title Award Certificate.
• Certificates will be received by All BSCBAA members that are owners of "awarded dog". Only one certificate per household.

• The recipients must be members in good standing of the BSCBAA for all BSCBAA memberships not including Honorary & Associate by June during the year you achieve the titles and a BSCBAA member in good standing during the year you receive the award. 
• The recipients must achieve four (4) or more AKC Titles in at least two different disciplines within one year from January-December to be awarded a BSCBAA Multi-Title Award Certificate and a Medallion.
• Certificates will be received by All BSCBAA members that are owners of "awarded dog". Only one certificate per household. The Medallion will only be received by the first owner listed that is a BSCBAA member or the first owner designates another BSCBAA member that is a co-owner.

• The recipients must be members in good standing of the BSCBAA for all BSCBAA memberships not including Honorary & Associate for a minimum of one year prior to you achieving the final title and a BSCBAA member in good standing during the year you receive the award. 
• The recipients must achieve an AKC Conformation Championship title and an AKC Spaniel or Retriever Master Hunter Title.
• Members will be responsible for notifying the BSCBAA secretary of their eligibility for this award at least two months prior to the Annual Meeting date at which it is awarded, and of their intention to appear for presentation. The BSCBAA secretary will confirm eligibility against AKC records, keep a record of dogs earning the award and notify the donors. 
• Donors of the Strauss Award are Dan & Sharon Kauzlarich of Beekauz Kennels.  

• The recipients must be members in good standing of the BSCBAA for all BSCBAA memberships not including Honorary & Associate by June during the year you achieve the titles and a BSCBAA member in good standing during the year you receive the award. 
• The recipients must achieve at least seven (7) or more AKC Titles in at least four (4) different disciplines within one year from January-December to be awarded a BSCBAA Versatile Boykin Award.
• The Award will only be received by the first owner listed of "awarded dog" that is a BSCBAA member or the first owner designates another BSCBAA member that is a co-owner.

• The recipients must be members in good standing of the BSCBAA for all BSCBAA memberships not including Honorary & Associate by June during the year you achieve the titles and a BSCBAA member in good standing during the year you receive the award. 
• The recipients must achieve at least ten (10) or more AKC Titles in at least three (3) different disciplines, one title must be in conformation within one year from January-December to be awarded a BSCBAA Prestigious Boykin Award.
• The Award will only be received by the first owner listed of "awarded dog" that is a BSCBAA member or the first owner designates another BSCBAA member that is a co-owner.
