This Organization, BSCBAA was founded to promote the indisputably talented Boykin Spaniel. Our capable hunting dogs do more than just fit into a small boat or blind: they work hard to please their owners and breeders by excelling in nearly everything they attempt, every American Kennel Club event and burrowing deep into our hearts. 

The BSCBAA has grown steadily, as has the registration of the breed. The latest information from the AKC shows Boykin Spaniels are growing quickly in popularity, moving up ten spots over the last year. (https://www.akc.org/most-popular-breeds/)

The BSCBAA exists to promote education, health & genetics, preservation of the hunting & working skills and to protect and advance the interests of the breed. This Organization also works to celebrate the achievements of all Boykin Spaniels, whether in conformation, hunt tests, or numerous other events through the BSCBAA’s newsletter, website page, social media platforms and BSCBAA Certificates and Awards. 

BSCBAA members, please help us by sending all news to news@theboykinspanielclub.com. We look forward to celebrating your dog’s achievements, your Boykin’s favorite moments and we welcome photos, Boykin brags and even articles. The Boykin Spaniel Standard, the BSCBAA’s newsletter is a publication for January, May and September, with deadline submission dates of December 30, April 30 and August 30. We also maintain the BSCBAA Facebook and Instagram pages.

With Boykin Spaniels competing in and earning over 300 AKC conformation and performance titles in 2024, our volunteers may not be aware of every dog’s achievement. We need your help so we can recognize the achievements of the Little Brown Dog.

The BSCBAA reserves editorial control to focus on BSCBAA sponsored events, historical firsts, national specialties, supported entries, AKC news/interest, BSCBAA news/announcements, social media relevance, website publications and more. If you want to help, please contact us! We welcome brags, favorite fun moments, hunting trips, photos, and articles celebrating your dog or teaching others about your favorite Boykin pastime, sport or event.  

The BSCBAA can only advocate for the breed with our members' help. We encourage you to review the BSCBAA Social Media & News Policy, BSCBAA Website Privacy & Terms of Use and the updated AKC Code of Sportsmanship and Civility. Please help us by remembering to request a post or to submit any information for publication to contact news@theboykinspanielclub.com or direct message the BSCBAA’s social media pages and not individual’s personal contacts.
